WriteMyBookAI

WriteMyBookAI FAQ

FAQ

Does it write my whole book?

No. You get a full chapter-by-chapter plan and a first draft of chapter 1 only. The rest of the writing is yours.

Is it free?

Yes: 1 book plan per day without signing up. Paid plans add more; see the pricing page.

Why does it take a minute or two?

The model writes the complete plan and about 700 words of prose for chapter 1, and our code checks the result before showing it. In our launch-week tests this took 50–83 seconds. If chapter 1 comes out too short it is extended once, and if another check fails the plan is rewritten once, which can take longer.

Can I choose fiction, nonfiction or a children's book?

Yes. Pick a book type and a target length (about 12,000 to 80,000 words), or let the AI decide from your idea.

What formats can I export?

Markdown (.md) and Word (.docx). Both contain the plan and the chapter 1 draft.

Who owns the text?

We claim no rights in the plan or draft generated for you. You are responsible for how you use it, including checking that it does not copy anyone else's work and following any rules about disclosing AI assistance.

Can I use it for school or university assignments?

No. WriteMyBookAI is not for essays, theses or any work submitted for academic credit.

Do you keep my idea?

We do not store your idea or the result in a database. To write the plan, your idea is sent to an AI model through OpenRouter, which handles it under its own privacy terms.

Why did my request fail?

Sometimes the model's output fails our structure checks twice, or the model is busy. Failed attempts do not count against your free or paid book plans. Try again, add a little more detail, or pick a length.
