Privacy Policy
WriteMyBookAI is operated by TENSO LLC. Contact: hello@writemybookai.com.
What you submit
You submit the text of your book idea plus two optional choices (book type and target length). They are sent through OpenRouter to an AI model, which writes the book plan and the chapter 1 draft. OpenRouter and the model provider process this text under their own privacy terms. We do not save your idea, the book plan or the chapter draft in a database or on our own servers. The result is sent back to your browser, and the Markdown and Word files are created in your browser.
If a request fails, our server log may record the reason (for example which structure check failed or an error code from the model provider); it does not record your idea. We do not ask for your name, email address or an account. Please do not put other people's personal details or confidential material in your idea.
Cookies
We set a random visitor id cookie to count free daily uses, and a signed cookie after purchase that records your plan. We do not use advertising cookies. To stop abuse of the free tier we also count free uses per IP address for the current day; these counters are not linked to your idea. The visitor statistics below use no cookies.
Visitor statistics
To understand how the site is used, we record: the pages you view; how long you stay on each page and how far you scroll; which buttons and links you click (a fixed button name or the page path, never anything you type); which parts of the page came into view; whether a book plan was generated or failed (with the error code), and whether you exported Markdown or Word; your answer if you reply to the optional one-question survey (a fixed choice, no free text); the site that sent you here (campaign tag or referring site name); and your coarse country, derived from the request.
No cookies are used for this. A random session id is kept in your browser's sessionStorage and disappears when you close the tab, so we cannot recognise you on a later visit. Events go to our own server, which forwards them to our analytics provider, PostHog, without your IP address. Your idea, the generated text and your IP address are never part of these statistics.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. Stripe keeps payment records as required by law.
